What is Tactical Pause Apparel?
Tactical Pause Apparel is a veteran owned apparel brand creating dark humor and motivational clothing for first responders, veterans, active military, and their families. Every design is built around one mission — supporting mental health awareness in the communities that need it most.
Who is Tactical Pause Apparel for?
Anyone who has worn a uniform in service of others. Firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, law enforcement, dispatchers, corrections officers, military veterans, active duty service members, and the families standing beside them. If you've ever carried something the job left behind, this brand was built for you.
Is Tactical Pause Apparel veteran owned?
Yes. I founded Tactical Pause Apparel after I retired from 21 years of service in the U.S. Army. I have been deployed numerous times and I have seen and carried things that didn't go away when I took the uniform off. This brand was built from inside the community it serves — not from the outside looking in.
What does Pause. Protect. Prevail. mean?
It is our core mission and the protocol behind everything we build. Pause — stop long enough to acknowledge what you are carrying. Protect — protect your mental health with the same commitment you give to protecting everyone else. Prevail — come out the other side forged by it, still standing, still you. It is not just a tagline. It is the reason this brand exists.

PRODUCTS AND SIZING
What kind of products do you sell?
We currently offer premium quality t-shirts featuring dark humor and motivational designs built specifically for the first responder, veteran, and military community. Additional products and collections are in development. Sign up for our email list to be the first to know about new drops.
What sizes do you carry?
Our shirts are available in sizes S through 2XL. Select styles also carry 3XL. Each product page includes a detailed size chart — we strongly recommend checking it before ordering as sizing can vary slightly between styles.
How do I know which size to order?
Every product page includes a size guide with chest measurements and fit recommendations. Our shirts run in a unisex relaxed fit. If you are between sizes we generally recommend sizing up for a more comfortable wear.
What are the shirts made of?
Our shirts are printed on premium
CVC (Chief Value Cotton), which consists of 60% combed ring-spun cotton and 40% polyester 4.3oz fabric. Comfortable and capable of handling a tough workout in the gym or a casual day or night out. Not the cheap stuff.
Can I request a custom design?
Not at this time. All designs are developed in house and released as part of our regular collection drops. If you have a concept or idea you want to share, reach out through our Contact page — we read everything.
ORDERING
How do I place an order?
Browse our shop, select your size and color, and add to cart. Checkout is fast, secure, and accepts all major credit cards, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
Because our products are made to order, we have a very short window to make changes or cancellations. Contact us immediately at sales@tacticalpauseapparel.co, if you need to make a change. Once production has begun we are unable to cancel or modify the order.
Will I receive an order confirmation?
Yes. You will receive an automated confirmation email immediately after placing your order. If you do not see it check your spam folder. If it is still not there contact us and we will sort it out.
Do you offer gift cards?
Not yet — but they are coming. Sign up for our email list to be notified when gift cards launch.
SHIPPING
Where do you ship?
We currently ship within the United States only. We are working toward expanding shipping options in the future. Sign up for our email list to be notified when international shipping becomes available.
How long does shipping take?
Because every order is made to order, please allow 2 to 5 business days for production before your order ships. Once shipped, standard delivery takes an additional 3 to 7 business days depending on your location. Total fulfillment time is typically 5 to 12 business days from order date.
How much does shipping cost?
Standard shipping is calculated at checkout based on your location and order size. Orders over $50 ship free. We recommend bundling orders to take advantage of free shipping.
Will I get a tracking number?
Yes. Once your order ships you will receive an email with your tracking information. Allow up to 24 hours after receiving your tracking number for the carrier to update the tracking status.
What carriers do you use?
Orders are shipped via USPS or UPS depending on your location and order size. You will be able to see your carrier and tracking information in your shipping confirmation email.
My tracking says delivered but I never received my order. What do I do?
First check with neighbors and any other household members. Carriers occasionally mark packages delivered early. If your package does not arrive within 2 business days of the delivery notification contact us at sales@tacticalpauseapparel.co and we will investigate and make it right.
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
What is your return policy?
Because our products are made to order specifically for you, we do not accept returns for sizing issues or change of mind purchases. We strongly encourage you to check our size guide before ordering.
What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
If your order arrives with a print defect, damage, or is the wrong item entirely — that is on us and we will make it right immediately. Contact us at sales@tacticalpauseapparel.co, within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue. We will send a replacement at no cost to you.
Can I exchange for a different size?
Because every item is made to order we are unable to process traditional exchanges. If you received a defective item we will replace it. For sizing issues we recommend carefully reviewing the size guide on each product page before purchasing. If you have questions about fit before ordering contact us and we will help.
What if my package was lost in transit?
If your tracking shows no movement for more than 7 business days after shipment contact us at [your email]. We will work with the carrier to locate the package or send a replacement depending on the situation.
DISCOUNTS AND GIVING
Do you offer a first responder or military discount?
A verified first responder and military discount program is coming soon. We are committed to making this gear accessible to the community it was built for. Sign up for our email list to be notified the moment the discount program launches.
How does the giving program work?
$2 from shirt or hat ordered will be donated to organizations supporting military mental health, veteran suicide prevention, and first responder mental health awareness. This is not a seasonal campaign or a limited-time promotion. It is built into the foundation of this brand. Every shirt or hat. Every time. No exceptions.
Which organizations do you support?
We are in contact with various organizations to establish a formal ongoing relationship for our donation, as a corporate partner. Until then, we will donate as a single donor, bi-annually to ensure our donation makes the most impact. Read more on our More Than A Brand page.
How do I know the giving is real?
On our more than a brand page you can see a running tally of the donations collected since our launch. We will publish our giving totals publicly on our site and in a newsletter, bi-annually — the amount donated, the organizations it went to. No spin. No marketing language. Just the number and the receipts. You can track it on our More Than A Brand page.

Do you have a physical store?
No. Tactical Pause Apparel is an online only store. This keeps our overhead low and allows us to put more back into the giving program and the community.
